DIGIWEB ACQUIRES DIGITAL NETWORK LIMITED

Digiweb Group announced today that it had acquired DIGITAL NETWORK LIMITED. Digital network operates a number of hosting and domain name brands throughout New Zealand, including Nucleus (hosting) and Register Domains (domain name registration). Digital network provides cloud hosting services and domain name registration services to SME’s, corporates and digital web agencies throughout New Zealand.

The acquisition of Digital network follows the 2011 acquisition of the Domain Central Group a global hosting and domain name registrar based out of Melbourne, Australia.

“The acquisition of Digital network continues our growth story of providing cloud based services to Australasian ‘software as a service’ providers (SaaS), SME’s & mid-sized corporates; and builds a platform for our global ambitions”, says Robert Rolls, Commercial Director of Digiweb.

The enlarged businesses now manage over 125,000 Domain Names, 60,000 email clients, thousands of web sites across hundreds of high availability virtual servers for our ever expanding national and international brands.

Adrian Grant, Managing Director of Digiweb commented that “over the past two years we have invested significantly on expanding our infrastructure footprint and service layer to enable us to provide sole service provision for customers who wish to remove the risk and capital cost of managing their IT, cloud and hosting services. Grant further commented that “whilst the trans Tasman market is well serviced for the large corporate market, there has been no obvious provider of services for the multitude of brilliant emerging SaaS providers growing from New Zealand and Australia. Digiweb’s objective has been to provide a seamless Australasian service to the many New Zealand businesses whose first foreign foray is into Australia”.
